Can you BEE-lieve it…

Our Site Manager Rob, who is a bit of a bee expert, was BUZZING with excitement when a swarm of bees was discovered in our hardcore pile recently.

Ever the professional, our resident beekeeper was fully prepared, with his suit and equipment in the car, and he FLEW into a HIVE of activity to catch and relocate them.

The bees are now in a Nuc, mini hive, with a fresh foundation for them to make honeycomb in an area with lots of vegetation and flowering plants.

Hopefully our bees will make some honey for us next spring. In the meantime, we hope they enjoy their new home and are cosy and content.

We’ll keep you updated with how they are getting along and until then it’s all buzzy-ness as usual here.
